Summer has come and almost gone!

Wow I cannot believe how long it took for summer to get here and now it is almost done. Jocelyn starts 1st. grade on the 24th which is so weird. She will be gone all day and it makes me already miss her. So much stuff has gone one this summer it is crazy. The 4th was amazing and we spent it with great friends. Then the 24th was even better cause it was the Meyers family reunion out in the west desert by delta. Now tomorrow me and the kids are leaving to St. George to go see my brother chad, mom, and grandma ferguson. I am way excited about spending a couple days there. I haven't told the kids yet cause I don't want them to ask me when we are leaving every hour for the next 24!! So it will be a fun surprise!

I just found out yesterday that my best friend Ashley Anderson is having a baby girl. They are going to name her Emma Rose Anderson. I love it and love her even though she isn't here yet. It is their first so they are way excited. Just bought her a cute pink rattle today while I was at the store. I am so excited. Gets my off the though of if I want another one or not. We will see, only time will tell!!

Softball Season

Kory has now started playing in a softball league. This was his first night there and they won the first of thier double header. Kory did so awesome and I am way proud of him. Hoppy Easter

Wow we had such a blast at my brother Scott's in Idaho. The kids just loved it. Easter is just such a happy time of year, when you celebrate spring and christs resurection. I love the lord with all my heart and am thankful for him putting me with the family that I have. I love being a mother to my wonderful kids and a wife to the best husband ever who works hard to give us the life that he does! Happy Easter to all of you. May the warmth bring joy to your lives.

Zoo trip and stuff

We had a blast this past weekend going to the zoo with some friends. We went there last summer with the girls when I was pregnant with Carter so we thought it would be fun to go with him this time! Nothing is funner than seeing the expressions the girls get on their face when they see something really cool. We went to Salem Reservoir on Sunday to feed the ducks with the kids and they loved it. Some of my favorite pictures are from there. Can't wait till we get to go back. Thanks for a great time Mark and Raine!! We love you guys!

The warmth of the Spring air in California

Ok, I know I know I know it has been forever since I have updated my blog. I cannot believe it myself. Well, me and the kids took a trip down to California for a week and had a blast. It was warm pretty much the whole time we were there. We went to my nephew Haydens basketball games where his team ended up in 1st. place out of the whole thing. We went go my GG and Bakas house where we had a nice sunday dinner to say goodbye to my Uncle Mike who lives in Australia.
The girls just fell in love with my cousin Chrissy which I don't blame them cause she is amazing. We started missing Kory like crazy especially carter so we decided to fly Kory out Friday night so he could drive the Saturn back that we decided to buy from my parents for a run around car since my parents bought a new cross over buick. It is way nice. All in all we had a blast and can't wait to get back there or it can just get warm here and I won't complain so much. I promise it won't be too long next time.

Pirate Island Pizza

So we went to Pirate Island Pizza in Orem by the mall and had fun. It was such a cute place. It is one of those places though that you go for the atmosphere but not for the food just to let you know. But here are a few pictures of us there.

Christmas

So for Christmas we went to California. It was so much fun. We thought it would be fun this year as a family to go to Disneyland Christmas Day than to buy presents for everyone. So we did. We had a blast!! My parents and my brothers with their families all came. I was worried that the girls weren't going to go on the rides but they did. They went on every one that they were big enough for. The line to see the Princesses was an average wait of 2hrs. so we went and got their faces painted in the princess castle instead. They never wanted to take it off. Here are just a couple pictures of the trip. There are more on my facebook page if you want to see them. Of course I was surprised when I was able to take carter on the carousels and small world. I thought that was so cool!

Baby Blessing

So we had Carters baby blessing this past weekend and it went great. It is so special to have such a precious new baby in our house. The girls love him like crazy. They try to make him smile and hold their toys. Jocelyn tells him all about her gymnastics class and that he can come watch her when he can walk. It is just so darling. Kory couldn't be prouder to have a son. The way he acts with him just makes my heart happy. I am so greatful for my family and the love we have in our home for eachother. People keep asking us if our new house feels like home yet and I just tell them yes because home is where the heart is, and my heart is with my family! I am so excited for Christmas and going to California. It is going to be so much fun with grandma and grandpa and all of the cousins and aunts and uncles. Plus nothing gets better than being able to go to DISNEYLAND on CHRISTMAS DAY!! yay. I can't wait. So for no pics. but was just too busy having fun with all the extended family that I forgot to take some. Next time! Love to all for the holidays.

Baby Carter

Oh my gosh it has been forever since I have been on here. How sad!! I am sorry for the lack of updates. So far we have just had baby carter who arrived Oct.9. We love him to death and are so happy to have another boy in the family. We had a very fun Halloween. Jocelyn was Dorothy and maddie was Snow White. They got lots of candy which they still beg for till this day even though it is all gone! We are going up to Kory's sisters house in Smithfield, Ut for Thanksgiving. We are way excited to get away for a little bit. Love to all my friends and family. Miss everyone. Have a happy thanksgiving. kisses.

Girls Birthday Party

So we had so much fun last weekend with the family. My mom, dad and brother Chad came up for the girls birthday party. The theme this year was the little mermaid. We had bubble sticks, foam hats with stickers they could make, a pinata, and mermaid beach balls to play around with outside. It was so much fun. I am glad my best friend Ashley and her fiance could make it. Plus, Ron and Debbie who I haven't seen forever. They are pretty much my mom and dad too. Jocelyn got a bike from us this year. She had to ride it everywhere it is so cute. Maddison got a Radio Flyer tricycle. She doesn't get the whole peddling thing so she just walks with her tippy toes. Follows her big sister everywhere in it. This winter we will have to bring them in the basement so they can be pros next summer. Thanks to everyone who came. Much appreciated. We love all of you guys and your children.

5th Anniversary

Well, it was our 5th anniversary July 16th the day I drove home from California. So on saturday Kory took me out. We went to the Melting Pot up in Salt Lake City which was a neat experience. (overrated) but nice. Then we went and saw the new Harry Potter movie!! Loved it!!! It was so much fun just being out with the man and love and still love.

California Here We Came!!

So I went to California on July 8th and got back the night of the 16th. I went down there because my mom fell and shattered her elbow and broke her wrist. It was so sad cause she was supposed to come up and visit us and then go hike Mt. Whitney 2 times this summer and had all other plans that got cancelled. So to cheer her up I thought I would take the girls down to help lift her spirits and do whatever she needed me to do.

I took her to Dr.'s Appointments, and physical therapy, shopping and running errands cause she can't drive at all. I had so much fun. The girls did too. My parents have this waterfall and pond in the backyard that is like the perfect depth. So the girls lived in it. As you can tell by all of the pictures. Plus the pictures of my toes is cause me and my mom did a little girl time out and got a pedicure!! Thanks mom.

Hogle Zoo

We recently went to the hogle zoo at the beginning of the month and had a blast. It was perfect weather for it too!! The girls had so much fun. Maddie called everything a monkey and would make the noise. Then when the elephants made their sound she got really scared! Jocelyn knew every animal we saw. Her favorite was the giraffes. She got to see them eating from the trees and she thought that was pretty cool. If they thought that was fun, then I need to take them to the San Fernando Zoo or Sea World. I know they would love those cause they are like 4 times as big.

Picnic Up Santaquin Canyon

So last month we went with the Ken and Lyndsey VanSickle up Santaquin Canyon for a little picnic. It was so much fun. A little chilly but great. We had hotdogs, chips soda, watermelon, and so on. What fun you can have for an hour up a canyon. There was a beautiful stream going by that the girls loved to throw chips in!!

California Trip

So this is a very delayed post but I finally had the time to sit at the computer and download some pictures. I went to California April 27th-May4th. I had a blast. We went down to see my old stake's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was so good. They always put a ton of effort into them and they always turn out great. I am so proud that my parents always have a hand in it. They are so creative and thoughtful that people flock around them.

May 3rd. was my dad's birthday so that was also a plus when we went down. He turned 55 and he thinks he is an old timer but he looks a lot younger than that. So keep up the good work at looking young dad! It gives me hope that maybe I would look so old in a few more decades!

The girls loved hanging out with there Uncle Brent, Aunt Madelyn and cousins, Morgann and Hayden. We miss them like crazy and can't wait to see them again.

Thanks to all for your concern. I didn't realize that so much bad stuff was going on. I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining but my gosh am I embarassed!!! Good things happen too!! I promise!
About 3 weeks ago my brother Chad came up for the weekend to go out on a date with this girl he has been talking to online! So he didn't want to feel awkward so he asked if me and Kory could go with him on a double date. Thanks to Sara and Jordan who watched the girls we went with. We met this girl at the Red Iguana (which is amazing). I can't even tell you all the details but by first impression.........VERY high maintenance. She had eyelash extensions, nails done and pedicures she said every two weeks. Plus she goes tanning and gets her teeth bleached all the time! She looked like a plastic doll. My eyes were just in shock. Needless to say she was pissed that my brother brought his sister along. Not once did she talk to us the whole time we were together. We would ask her questions and she would just nod and then roll her eyes and look back at my brother.
To make it interesting we went bowling after and whoever lost got to buy icecream. Well, needless to say me and Kory kicked their butt! My hubby is amazing at bowling. He picked up the slack from me!!! hahahaha.
I just wish my 30 yr. old brother would just find someone to marry. Cause I think he would be a great husband and father. He is so good with the girls. They just love their uncle chad.

On another note. I am pretty sure I am going to go to California for a few days at the end of april beginning of may. My old stake I grew up in puts on a musical every three years and this year they are doing Joseph and the amazing..... you get the drift. Plus it is my dad's birthday on the 3rd of may so I am way excited. Plus it is going to be way warmer there so hopefully I can lay out and me and the baby can get an awesome tan!!! Oh yeah, plus see my girl Carrieann and her new house!!! There are open seats if anyone wants to come!! I can't wait!!

Well, got to get back to taking care of the kids. Cinderella can't keep them entertained all day!! hahaha

So I am so sorry to all of you who check my blog and there isn't really any updates. I don't have any new pictures yet. But hopefully I can get some up soon. I forgot my camera at christmas and there were way too many to email so my parents are coming up for easter and he is going to download them for me!
To give you an update, I am 12 weeks pregnant. Not as far as we had guessed but far enough. The baby is healthy and it looks like it is going to be a low risk pregnancy. We conceived in January and the chinese calendar says a boy so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
Two weeks ago Jocelyn got pretty sick. I took her in cause her ear hurt and the Dr. said that she puctured the eardrum with a toy. So I got numbing drops to help the pain. Well, the next week she cried every night and day so I finally took her back in and in that same ear she got Swimmers ear which is an infection in the outer ear canal. He has no clue how she got it but she has been on medication for it which gives her major runny poo so now I have to repotty train her!! ahhhh! I am so frustrated about that!
Then last monday I hadn't been feeling good so I kind of just layed around the house. Well, about 2oclock I felt like I was going to pass out so I called Kory to come home from work. Later that night around 11 I passed out for 1min. and then threw up, then 5 minutes later passed out again and then dry heaved for awhile. Anyone who really know me knows I have had this condition since I was 9yrs. old. So it majorly suck. I could drink or eat anything on tuesday so I went to the emergency room and got hooked up to an IV and my body drank up two of those.
This past saturday we bought a dog. It was an australian shepherd, border collie mix. She was absolutely adorable. She was very sick on Sunday so I took her to the vet yesterday and she has a disease called Parvo. So I had to take her to the pound to be put down. I was balling all day long. She was like a newborn baby to me. So me and the girls are very sad.
Well, I hope the update was okay. I will try to write more. I just haven't been all that interested in coming to the freezing cold basement to be on the computer!! Anyways, love to you all.

Neopolitan Cupcake

Here is my adorable little cupcake. I got the dress from Nordstroms for like 9 bucks and the bow. The leggings I got at a kiosk in the University mall and the hat. Then I got the shoes at Payless for $5. I have been dedicated to bagain shopping. It is like the best way to go. She looks so adorable that I had to take a bunch of pictures. She is just hularious with all of her little funny faces. It will be very weird when she learns how to talk and expresses how she feels with each face!! Kids are so much fun!

We went to the Sperry's house last night for games and ice cream. Jocelyn and Carter have so much fun together. The came up with the idea that it would be fun to plays with the rug. They would hide under it and pull Maddison around on it. Jocelyn always crashes after we leave their house they had a blast. The adults just hung out and played Settler of Catan and Sequence. BYU Basketball Game

This past friday night we got free tickets to go see the BYU Cougars play against Long Beach State Univ. It was so much fun. Jocelyn hated all the noise at first. She covered her ears for atleast 30min. Maddison was loving every minute of it. But all of a sudden as soon as Jocelyn decided to have fun Maddison switched and turned into a crank. Ever since she has been able to walk thats all she wants to do. She will never just sit anymore. We had so much fun. Thanks Kory for such a fun time.

Happy Birthday Kory!!! I am so excited that today is Kory's 30th birthday. I am so glad he chose me 4 years ago to be his wife and share every excited milestone with him along the ways. He is my night and shining armor. I am forever greatful for Kory's mom who was sewing his sisteres wedding dress when she found out at 40 something that she was pregnant with my future husband! Breakdown at Church

I don't know about anyone else....but having a breakdown at church is like the most embarrassing thing ever!! I was just fine for the first 3 1/2 hours but when it was time to pack Jocelyn's backpack up thats when I lost it. I told her to put her toys away and she yelled back, "NO!, You put my toys away!" Well, there went the water works. Not five minutes before did she headbutt me in my cheekbone and I took that like a man, but her talking back to me is like heartbreaking. Lately she has been doing it all the time. She screams at me that she wants a drink, then I tell her to do something and she always yells back NO! I don't want to resort to spanking or flicking her in the mouth when she does it, but I am about to have a huge breakdown if something doesn't change. If she talks back to me I tell her to be nice or go to her bedroom which obviously doesn't work cause she just yells back again with, "NO, you go back to your bedroom!" I am getting to the point of tears right now just thinking about it. The reason the tears came at Church was I had realized where she gets it from. (cause she obviously didn't just come up with it by herself) It comes from ME! Oh, my gosh. Do I really yell that much. I know I get frustrated cause I want her to listen to me and when she doesn't I just freak. What is wrong with me? I have desperately been trying to change but I think it might be too late for Jocelyn. People used to say how well behaved she is and polite and now they look at her and say wow she has a quick mouth doesn't she?! It breaks my heart. I need help and some major advice. Or I think I will be going to the looney bin by Christmas!

Maddison's 1st Birthday

Wow was this so much fun. I had my parents come up, Chad from St. George, and Scott, Melissa and baby Makai from Idaho. I can't believe they all came. Too bad Brent and his family couldn't come up. We missed them a lot. Anyways, the party went great. Maddie was so adorable and everyone just soaked her all in. I can't beliefe she is already one. She has grown up way too fast. I am starting to get baby hungry again but that can't happen anytime soon. Cause we need to finish our basement so we have some more room. Thank you to everyone who came to the party. Birthday Party

Jocelyn's birthday party was really fun. I spent all day inside and Kory spent all day outside getting ready for the party. I don't think I sat down till it was time for bed. She had so much fun. She asks everyday if all of her friends can come play again. The kids dressed up and played like crazy. We had a pinata so the kids were high off of sugar when they went home. Anyways, it was really fun and I hope to do it again but not anytime soon!

Manicure

I bet you are wondering why I would make a title like manicure......well let me tell you. This birthday party thing is turning out to be way more work than I planned. This whole week, every night when Kory gets home, we go out in the yard and shovel rock over and over. Then when the beds are cleared we go shovel sand. Then when the sand fills us the beds I dig holes and plant some plants and flowers. Why, do you ask? Cause Kory says so. He wants the yard to look magnificient for the birthday party. So, today I had to go with both girls to a nursery and pick out some more flowers. That is an experience all in itself. It's not like they have shopping carts that I can put them in. So here I am holding Maddison with a purse on the other arm and Jocelyn on a wheel barrow pushing it around with sweat dripping down my face. There were some men there and not one asked me if I needed help! I thought I lived in Utah! Anyways, it's not like gardening gloves help all that much. My nails are breaking and I am getting blisters. So all in all I really need to go relax and get a manicure. Let my hands be complete pampered when this is over!!

Jocelyn's 3rd Birthday Dinner!

So we went to The Pizza Factory for Jocelyn's birthday dinner. We got a pizza made with her favorite toppings.....Olives and extra cheese. It was different but good. The waitress looked at us like we were crazy and we had to tell her that's what the kid wants! She is so weird with her food choices. I hope as she gets older she develops new tastes. Anyways, the dinner went well, after we ate we gave her one of her presents cause the other ones are coming to her on Saturday for her birthday party. We got her a Sleeping Beauty barbie doll and Prince Phillip too! She was so excited! She had to sleep with them last night. It was so cute. I can't wait for the movie to come out on October 7th!! Plus while I was at the Disney Store they told me that Pinnocio, Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White are being released next year! I am so excited! My collection will almost be complete! At the end of the night when the girls were in bed Kory and I were talking about when Jocelyn was born and I just started crying. I can't believe how fast she has grown. She gets cuter and cuter everyday. I just hope that she knows how much I love her and that I would do anything for her.

Never Easy

So I have a lot going on right now. I have been trying to potty train Jocelyn and that is up and down. Not looking forward to this weekend cause we are going to my nephews wedding up in Logan and she doesn't now how to go on the big toilet yet. So we are going to have to put her in pull-ups and pray that she will do good. I had to take Jocelyn to the doctors office today cause whenever she gets a bug bite it gets HUGE!! So I was worried and he said she is just one of the few who will always have a bigger reaction than other kids. Until the swelling goes down we just have to cover it up cause it isn't very cute!!
Today is also packing day cause we have to leave in about an hour and I swear I am always running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I never get everything packed that I need to and Kory gets on me about how unprepared I am. If things would just go smooth during the day than it would be ready in time. But between going to the doctor and Jocelyn picking her nose so deep she got a nose bleed, I finally got everything ready. So hopefully when Kory gets home it will be smooth sailing. We had so much fun at Sara's wedding she looked just absolutely beautiful and her colors were perfect. Jocelyn and Grandpa Dale are dancing to Enchanted's Happily Ever After theme song. Can a girl get any more girly than Jocelyn. She is like the ultimate Princess finatic. Everything my mom wished I would have been at that age. Sorry mom! And yes, those girls are done with the curling iron cause my girls have stick straight hair!

4th of July

Our 4th of July trip was great! We went to Delta this year and loved it. It might be a small town but it does everything any big city does. First we went to the parade, than the park, and later that night we went to the fireworks show that starts right after the Derby. Jocelyn loved it. She had to cover her ears cause the fireworks were too loud! (they really weren't but thats Jocelyn for ya!) Can't wait till the next 4th.

Maddison has the biggest blue eyes ever! Luckily I was able to capture them wide open. She is just so adorable that I sent this picture in to America's Cutest Babies of 2008 contest and she won one of the spots in the book coming out this fall! I can't believe I actually make cute babies!! haha

Missing Home

So I am totally missing home right now. It sucks not having your own place of refuge. Not to mention missing Kory a ton. The other night Jocelyn came up to me and asked if "daddy was ever going to come home soon." Boy did that make the tears start coming. It is hard keeping my daughters away from their dad. Especially Maddison considering she is at a young age where stranger anxiety starts to set in. Needless to say, I need to go home! Home is where your heart is and my heart is with Kory!

So today was decided that Saturday me and the girls are going to go to California for a couple of weeks till we can figure out what is going on with my house! Mold, mold, mold..... I hate mold!! Just don't miss me too much!! haha
